A good
clear head shot is often the difference between want the job, and
landing the job
Headshots
should
always
make
eye
contact with the viewer.
Head
Shots are the first thing that a casting director will see of you. It
is your first impression. An as the saying goes, there is no
second chance to make a first impression. Often it is that head shot
that holds the casting directors attention. Head shots need to show you
at your best. The need to be unique to you and the image you are trying
to convey.
Often
men will have several headshots and resumes and offer the one that they
feel will best address the need of the casting call.
Headshots should always highlight the eyes, EYE CONTACT IS VERY
IMPORTANT IN A FIRST IMPRESSION
!.
Your Portfolio
should reflect an overview of your style and the image's) that you wish
to project. Your portfolio should never hold shots that no longer look
like you. If you have special shots from past work, they belong in a
archive section at the back of your book. The casting director wants to
see you as you are now, they want to see the person they are hiring.
