March 2010 Newsletter and Shooting Schedule
Scheduled For March 2010 Mega Shoot- LAST CALL FOR MODELS, INTERVIEW NOW !

We are pleased to announce a week of creativity and celebration of the male image in art and photography.

All shoots will be by appointment only. I am looking to shoot with individual men, male couples, pairing of men and with groups of men AGAIN, I stress this these shoots will be scheduled and planned in advance so please make your intention know if you would like to take part in one or more days of shooting. The shooting schedule is as follows and you may offer yourself for a minimum of two hours of shooting to as much of the programming as you can make yourself available for.  As with all ClassicMan shoots, nudity is required and NO Drugs or Alcohol will be allowed on the set at any time. - All models must be at least 22 years of age and verifiable proof of age will be required at the time of shooting. All Shooting will take place in our Orlando Studio unless otherwise stated.

If you are interested in being a part of this shooting schedule you must send us that request via email not later than March 10th 2010

If you have never modeled with us before, or it has been more then a year,  you will need to complete the Model Search form on our website. A photo MUST be attached. We will call you if we are interested in scheduling you for this or another shoot.  If you have shot with us recently and would like to be considered we will still need to you send us your request via email.  Space and shooting schedules are limited so we will be working ONLY by schedule and appointment.

 

Classic Man Photography is looking for some creative new locations

We are looking for some creative and interesting locations for up-coming shoots. We require a location that is private enough for us to be able to shoot in the nude. We are looking for locations that offer easy access from Orlando. Public location must be zoned to allow nudity. Private location will require a signature agreement from the owner.  Some of the types of location we are looking for are..

A Gym: A gym location with workout equipment, showers and sporting areas Sports Fields: A location suck as tennis, golf, basketball or football. Farm: A  location with open land, a barn, stables horses. Private Beach/Pool: A  location with interesting water shooting, waterfalls a big plus
Large Showers/Tubs: roomy and open shower areas - roman tubs, hot tubs. outdoor showers Leather: A  location that celebrates the leather lifestyle and a sense of danger The Music Man: A classic location that would allow us to shoot men and musical instruments. Something Unique: A  location that maybe we have not yet thought of but you know of and would like to share

If you know of our have one a destination that you would like to share with Classic Man please contact us ASAP. We will be happy to come look at the location and work out a shooting schedule with you that is convenient to all concerned. Classic Man does not offer a cash payment for the use of a location - however as with out models a TFP arrangement may be available.

Free Seminars / Casting Call

All models must be at least 22 years of age or older with verifiable proof of age and identity.

Classic Man Photography is pleased to offer  free seminars for men interested in the highly competitive world of male modeling. Our founder and nationally recognized photographer, Stephen DeMatteis, will be conducting our seminar and offer his years of professional and artist experience. With more than 20 years of photographing men, his advice is a valuable tool in planning for a successful and profitable career as a Male Model.

He will be addressing such issues as...

  • Creating a "Marketable" image and style

  • An Effective headshot and comp card / portfolio

  • Working in front of the camera, using your face and body to their fullest

  • Taking direction, trusting the photographer

  • Ageing with style and grace

  • Self promotion

The basic seminar will run 90 minutes.  Starting promptly at 10:a.m.. The basic seminar will end at 11:30a.m.. Doors open at 9:30 and will be closed at 10:a.m.  Being on time shows professional punctual behavior.

Tampa, April 3rd

At 11:30 there will be a 30 minute break,  At which time we will ask some of the men to remain for a casting shoot.  This will be a free evaluation session before the camera. If you are asked to return for this second session the following will be required of each man....

  • A copy of your Drivers License showing proof of name address and AGE. We will not be able to make these copies for you SO YOU MUST BRING A PHOTOCOPY WITH YOU .

  • To sign an image release form, along with a completed model information form.

  • The willingness to follow direction when you are set before the camera.  If you are holding a current comp card and or portfolio be sure to bring it with you.

  • Each model will be asked to pose in minimal clothing or in tasteful nude. This is not an option so if it is an issue for you, remove yourself from the selection process. It is suggested that each man wear/bring pose able underwear, t'back and or Speedo.

  • Evaluations and suggestions will be given to each man who is selected for the afternoon section of our presentation.  Written evaluations will be sent to each man selected for the afternoon session within 10 days of the seminar.

Making Clear What We Mean By "TFP"

TFP is the professions standard term meaning "Time For Photos". It is an agreed upon arrangement between the photographer and the model where by the model offers his professional services i.e.: modeling time to the photographer in exchange for an agreed upon number of photos from the shoot for his use in self promotion. It is a great way for a model to build, add to and enhance his portfolio.

It is also an opportunity for the photographer to work with different men and varied looks thus broadening his artistic vision.

 

All of Classic Man's work is done TFP we meet with our models and if we thank they have a look that we would like to work with we will set a time and place for the shoot. We will arrange for the props and whatever might be needed. We require that the model be on time and prepared to work for the whole time we have agreed upon.  After the shoot Classic Man evaluates the whole shoot choose the shots we would like to work with and begins the finishing process.  Within 30 days the model will receive (either by coming into the studio for a consultation or via mail for long distance models) a CD with the agreed upon number of shots for there use. ClassicMan Photography still retains any and all copyrights to the photos and their use.  The following credit will be inconspicuously set on each photo and must remain in place for any public showing.  "Classic Man Photography - Copyright (c) DATE"

Special Reminder - we are still looking for men to be part of our book project for the SACRED SENSUAL SELF, a program of education and counseling for men seeking a deeper more intimate relationship with themselves and with others. If you are interested in being a part of this project let us know ASAP

Men will be shot here in the Orlando Studio and will be eligible to take part (as a free guest) in a workshop or take part in an individual session. This is the chance to become a part of a project with wide circulation.
